πŸ’° Earnings & Pay

How much can I earn driving for Dragonfly?+

Dragonfly drivers typically earn $22-35 per hour including tips. Catering deliveries pay premium rates of $15-45 per delivery depending on distance and complexity. Unlike gig apps that take 30-40% commission, Dragonfly takes a flat 15% platform fee, meaning you keep more of every dollar. Top drivers consistently earn $1,200-1,800 per week.

When and how do I get paid?+

Weekly direct deposits every Friday for the previous week's earnings. Need money faster? Instant cashout is available anytime for a small fee ($1.99), transferring earnings to your debit card within minutes. You'll see earnings update in real-time in the driver app after each completed delivery.

Are there bonuses or incentives?+

Yes! Current incentives include: $200 sign-up bonus after 25 deliveries, peak hour bonuses (+$3-5 per delivery during lunch/dinner rush), weekly completion bonuses (extra $50 for 40+ deliveries), referral bonus ($150 per driver you refer who completes 25 deliveries), and seasonal promotions during busy periods.

πŸ“‹ Requirements

What are the requirements to drive?+

Requirements include: valid driver's license (21+ for catering routes), clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years), reliable vehicle in good condition, smartphone with data plan, ability to lift 40 lbs, and passing a background check. Professional appearance and customer service attitude are essential for our white-glove service standards.

What vehicle do I need?+

For standard deliveries: any 4-door sedan, SUV, or hatchback from 2010 or newer in good condition. For catering routes: larger vehicle (SUV, minivan, or wagon) preferred to accommodate multiple catering trays. Vehicles must pass a basic inspection for safety, cleanliness, and reliability.

How quickly can I start earning?+

Most drivers complete onboarding in 2-3 business days. Background check takes 24-48 hours, vehicle inspection can be done same-day at partner locations, and orientation is a 1-hour online session. Once approved, you can start accepting deliveries immediately.

Do I need catering experience?+

No prior catering experience required. We provide comprehensive training on proper food handling, presentation, setup procedures, and customer interaction for corporate environments. Training is paid ($50) and takes about 2 hours. After training, you'll shadow an experienced driver on 2-3 deliveries before going solo.

πŸš— Deliveries & Scheduling

Is there flexible scheduling?+

Yes, completely flexible. Work when you want, as much or as little as you want. However, consistent drivers who commit to peak hours (lunch 11am-2pm, dinner 5pm-8pm) get priority access to premium catering orders that pay 2-3x standard rates.

What types of deliveries will I do?+

Three main categories: (1) White-Glove Catering - corporate meal deliveries requiring setup, often $25-45 per delivery; (2) Last-Mile Packages - same-day packages for businesses, $8-15 per delivery; (3) Meal Kit Routes - scheduled routes delivering meal kit boxes, consistent weekly income. You can specialize or do all types.

Can I drive in multiple cities?+

Dragonfly operates in 50+ markets nationwide. Your account works in any market we operate in, and we're expanding rapidly.

πŸ›‘οΈ Insurance & Support

What insurance coverage do drivers have?+

Every Dragonfly delivery includes up to $5M commercial liability coverage that protects you and the cargo. This covers accidents, damage, and liability claims while on an active delivery. You still need personal auto insurance, but our commercial policy fills the gap that most personal policies don't cover.

What support is available?+

Unlike gig apps with no human support, Dragonfly provides: Dedicated Driver Success team reachable by phone, text, or chat; in-app support for delivery issues; weekly office hours with leadership; driver community Slack channel; training resources and earning tips. Real people who care about your success.

What if something goes wrong on a delivery?+

Contact support immediately through the app. For food issues: we handle customer communication and you're still paid. For accidents: our up to $5M insurance covers you. For vehicle breakdowns: we can reassign the delivery and help coordinate. You'll never be penalized for issues outside your control.

πŸš€ Gigaverse.ai & Benefits

What is the driver retirement program?+

Through the Gigaverse.ai platform, you get a free retirement account, financial education, and planning tools. When you earn payouts through your Gigaverse wallet, you choose how to get paid: instant pay, same-day bank transfer, or automatically send a percentage to your Dragonfly retirement account. Build wealth while you workβ€”your way.

How is Dragonfly different from DoorDash or Uber Eats?+

Major differences: (1) Higher pay - we take 15% vs their 30-40%; (2) Premium deliveries - catering orders pay $25-45 vs $4-8 fast food; (3) Instant payouts - get paid instantly through your Gigaverse wallet; (4) Free retirement account - with education, planning tools, and auto-funding options; (5) Real support - dedicated driver success team; (6) Better treatment - you're a professional, not a replaceable commodity.

πŸ“± App & Technology

How do I download the driver app?+

After completing onboarding, you'll receive a link to download the Dragonfly Driver app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The app requires iOS 14+ or Android 10+. During setup, you'll create your profile, add vehicle details, upload documents, and set up direct deposit.

Can I work for other delivery apps too?+

You're an independent contractor, so yes - you can drive for other platforms. However, you cannot multi-app during an active Dragonfly delivery. Once you accept an order, you must complete it before accepting work elsewhere. Consistent Dragonfly drivers get priority access to the highest-paying orders.

πŸ’Ό Taxes & Legal

Am I an employee or independent contractor?+

You're an independent contractor (1099), not a W-2 employee. This means you set your own schedule, use your own vehicle, and can work for other platforms. You're responsible for your own taxes, but you can deduct business expenses like mileage, phone, and car maintenance.

What tax documents will I receive?+

You'll receive a 1099-NEC form by January 31st for the previous tax year if you earned $600+ on the platform. Standard mileage deduction for 2026 is $0.70/mile, which significantly reduces taxable income. Consider quarterly estimated tax payments to avoid penalties.

What expenses can I deduct?+

Common deductions include: mileage (track every mile), cell phone (portion used for work), car maintenance, insulated bags and equipment, car washes, parking and tolls during deliveries, and health insurance premiums if self-employed. Keep receipts and use a mileage tracking app.

πŸ‘” Professionalism & Safety

Is there a dress code?+

Yes - Dragonfly is white-glove service. Requirements: clean, professional attire (solid colors preferred), closed-toe shoes, no offensive graphics, well-groomed appearance. For catering deliveries: we provide a branded Dragonfly polo shirt. Think "business casual" not "just rolled out of bed."

What are the safety protocols?+

Safety is paramount. Requirements: no driving under any influence, follow all traffic laws, use hands-free devices only, never leave car running unattended. The app has an emergency button that contacts support and shares your location instantly. Trust your instincts - don't complete a delivery if you feel unsafe.
