Pharmacy delivery pricing

Dragonfly prices pharmacy delivery as custom enterprise work, based on volume, distance, and service requirements. No surge pricing, no commission on order value. There is no flat consumer rate and no published dollar price per delivery.

What is actually published

What drives the quote

The calculator page states the pricing basis in one line: custom enterprise pricing based on your volume, distance, and service requirements. The pharmacy page adds the service differences that matter for a prescription: a 2-hour window, a scheduled facility route, and a STAT discharge are quoted as different work. Refrigerated medication, a signature, and a photo are part of what you send with the quote, because cold-chain certified delivery and signature capture are different handling from a standard drop.

Distance is a pricing input. It is not a published per-mile table. Volume is a pricing input. Higher volume means better rates. Same-day versus scheduled is a service-level choice, not a surge. The price does not move because the hour got busy.

Per delivery, per route, or per account

Dragonfly does not publish a choice of "per delivery" versus "per route" as a rate card. The published model is per account: pay-as-you-go to start, and enterprise pricing when you hit 50+ monthly deliveries. A scheduled route and a one-off STAT stop are still different work inside that account. After deliveries run, the analytics dashboard can show cost per delivery. That figure is calculated from your account. It is not a sticker price.

You can pass delivery costs to patients, absorb them, or split them. The platform supports all three. That is a merchant choice about who pays, not a Dragonfly rate.

What to send

City or cities, daily and weekly volume, and the pharmacy type: independent, chain, specialty, compounding, long-term care, mail-order, or hospital outpatient. Say if the medication is refrigerated, if every stop needs a signature and a photo, and if the tracking page should be white-labeled. Name the pharmacy system if it should create the order. The courier service is described on /pharmacy. The software is on /pharmacy/delivery-software. A sourced comparison of other pharmacy delivery services is on this page.

Pharmacy delivery pricing questions

How much does pharmacy delivery cost?

Custom enterprise pricing based on your volume, distance, and service requirements. No surge pricing, no commission on order value. This page does not publish a dollar price per delivery. We come back within one business day.

Is there a minimum volume?

No long-term contracts required. Start with pay-as-you-go and upgrade to enterprise pricing when you hit 50+ monthly deliveries. Enterprise contracts offer better rates in exchange for commitment, but they're optional.

Do you charge per delivery?

Pricing is per-account, so we don't publish a per-delivery rate. Drivers wait a grace period at no extra charge. Longer waits may bill a wait fee at the rates in your service agreement. The analytics dashboard can show cost per delivery after the work runs. That is a report, not a price list.

Are there surge fees or hidden fees?

No hidden fees. Transparent pricing with no surge fees, no service fees, no marketing fees. Enterprise contracts can lock in rates for 12 months. No peak fees. No commission on order value.

What changes the quote?

Volume, distance, and service requirements. A 2-hour window, a scheduled facility route, and a STAT discharge are different work, so they are quoted as different work. Refrigerated medication and a required signature are inputs on the quote. The city is too.

How fast do you send the quote?

Within one business day. Most merchants are fully onboarded within 1-2 business days. Call (312) 270-0161 or use the form on this page.
