Stops, windows & addresses

Pickup and dropoff fields, time windows, time zones.

pickup, dropoff and every entry of dropoffs share one Stop shape.

Stop fields

Field	Type	Required	Description
`address`	string	yes	Full street address with city, state and ZIP, e.g. `445 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60611`. Put suite or apartment numbers in the address or in `notes`.
`contactPhone`	string	yes	A reachable mobile number, E.164 preferred (`+13125550111`). Drivers call or text it.
`contactName`	string	no	Person or business at the stop.
`contactEmail`	string	no	Dropoffs only. The recipient gets the proof-of-delivery email.
`notes`	string	no	Instructions shown to the driver (gate codes, where to leave it).
`windowStart`	timestamp	no	Pickup: ready time. Dropoff: earliest delivery.
`windowEnd`	timestamp	no	Pickup: collect-by. Dropoff: latest delivery.
`lat`, `lng`	number	no	Coordinates, if you have them. Dragonfly geocodes otherwise.

Send ISO 8601 timestamps with a time-zone offset or Z:

2026-10-09T17:30:00Z and 2026-10-09T10:30:00-07:00 are the same instant. Both are accepted.
Bare times (10:30) and dates without a time are rejected with VALIDATION_ERROR.
Windows are interpreted in absolute time. Tracking pages and driver apps show them in the stop's local time.

Note: For Dragonfly-routed accounts, the dropoff window is how your orders are grouped into a delivery day. Always send one.

Include the house number, street, city, state and ZIP.
Use notes for building access, not the address line.
Dragonfly checks every address. One that can't be located is flagged to dispatch rather than silently dropped.
